Imlil & Toubkal Valleys Day Trip from Marrakech
Berber villages, walnut terraces and the foot of North Africa's highest peak.
01Overview
A private day in the High Atlas: the Asni market road, a guided walk from Imlil to the Berber village of Aroumd below Toubkal (4,167 m) and lunch with a mountain view.
Just 90 minutes from Marrakech, Imlil is the gateway to Toubkal National Park. With a local mountain guide you walk through walnut and apple terraces to the village of Aroumd, stop for mint tea in a Berber home and have lunch on a terrace facing the peaks.
The walk is easy to moderate (2–3 hours, with mules available for tired legs). In winter the summits are white with snow; in spring the valleys are green and full of blossom.
