Ouzoud Waterfalls Day Trip from Marrakech
The highest waterfalls in North Africa, with Barbary monkeys and boat rides.
01Overview
Walk down to the 110-metre Ouzoud falls, meet the Barbary macaques, take a raft to the foot of the cascade and lunch by the water.
Ouzoud is about two and a half hours north-east of Marrakech, past olive groves and the red hills of the Middle Atlas foothills. A path lined with cafés and olive trees leads down to the base of the falls, where small rafts take you close to the spray.
Wild Barbary macaques live in the trees around the falls. Wear good shoes — the path has steps — and bring a swimsuit in summer.
