Essaouira Day Trip from Marrakech
Argan trees, goats in the branches and the blue boats of the Atlantic.
01Overview
A day by the ocean: an argan cooperative on the way, then free time in Essaouira's whitewashed medina, the Skala ramparts and the fishing port.
Essaouira is everything Marrakech is not: breezy, blue and white, slow. The road there crosses argan country, where goats sometimes climb the trees, and passes a women's cooperative making argan oil.
In Essaouira you have five to six hours to walk the ramparts, browse the thuya-wood workshops, eat grilled fish at the port stalls and watch the gulls over the boats.
