3-Day Merzouga Desert Tour from Marrakech
The great dunes of Erg Chebbi and back to Marrakech, in three full days.
01Overview
Round trip from Marrakech to the Merzouga dunes: Aït Ben Haddou, the Dadès and Todra gorges, a sunset camel trek and a night in a desert camp.
Three days is the minimum we recommend to reach the real Sahara dunes of Erg Chebbi from Marrakech and come back without rushing the best parts. You cross the High Atlas, stop at Aït Ben Haddou and sleep in the Dadès valley, then reach Merzouga on day two in time for a sunset camel trek.
The return takes a different road through Rissani, Alnif and the Draa valley palm groves, so the landscape changes all the way back to Marrakech. Long driving days — but your driver sets the rhythm around you, with as many stops as you like.
