01Overview
A relaxed five-day loop of the south: Aït Ben Haddou, the Skoura oasis, a night by the Todra gorge, two nights near the Merzouga dunes and the return through Nkob and the Draa valley.
Five days turns the desert trip into a real journey. Driving days are shorter, there is time to walk in the Todra gorge, visit a nomad family and enjoy a full day around Merzouga — with optional sandboarding, quad biking or a visit to the Gnaoua musicians of Khamlia — before your night in the dunes.
The return through the Saghro mountains, Nkob and the Draa valley is one of the most beautiful and least travelled roads in Morocco.

Day 1
Marrakech → Aït Ben Haddou → Ouarzazate → Skoura
Over the Atlas to Aït Ben Haddou, then on to a kasbah guesthouse in the Skoura palm grove.

Valley of Roses → Dadès → Todra gorge
Valley of Roses, the Dadès gorge and an afternoon walk in the Todra canyon.

Day 3
Todra → Erfoud → Merzouga
Short drive to the dunes; free afternoon for sandboarding or quad (optional), then sunset camel trek to camp.

Day 4
Khamlia → Rissani → Merzouga
Gnaoua music in Khamlia, the Rissani market and a nomad family visit. Second night by the dunes.

Alnif → Nkob → Draa valley → Marrakech
The scenic southern road home through Nkob and the Draa valley.
